Since 2006, IPB and DCU have been working in partnership following the establishment of the IPB Insurance Access Scholarship initiative. This contribution helps to address the serious inequities in access to third level education, which still exist in Ireland today. 93% of Access students who enter DCU complete third level and 53% of Access graduates progress to further study. The DCU access programme which is now the largest and most successful programme of its kind in Ireland aims to develop positive attitudes to education and help young people to remain at school, to encourage more students to consider third level education as a viable option for them and to support those students who do make it to third level to complete their course of study.

In 2014, we continued our commitment to the scholarship programme and established a partnership with Limerick Institute of Technology, the first of its kind, to promote equitable access to and successful participation in higher education for all members of society.
