2026 LAMA Awards Officially Launched at Dublin’s Custom House

The 2026 Awards were officially launched yesterday outside Dublin’s iconic Custom House, marking the beginning of what promises to be a landmark year for the event and its partners. The Awards Ceremony will return to the Dublin Royal Convention Centre on 28 February 2026, where several significant milestones will be celebrated.

Now entering its 20th year, the Awards continue to recognise and honour the exemplary partnership between local authorities and communities across Ireland. The event provides an important platform to highlight impactful initiatives, acknowledge the dedication of community leaders, and celebrate the contributions that help strengthen and enhance the quality of life within our towns and cities.

The 2026 ceremony carries additional significance as it marks three major anniversaries:

  • 20 years of the Awards

  • 40 years of the LAMA Executive

  • 100 years of IPB Insurance, the longstanding patron and main sponsor of the Awards

These milestones reflect a long-standing commitment to community development, collaboration, and public service. The continued support and engagement of councils, community groups, and sponsors have played a vital role in shaping the Awards into one of the most respected recognitions of community excellence in Ireland.

With the ceremony returning to Dublin and a year of important anniversaries to acknowledge, the 2026 Awards are set to be a particularly memorable celebration of innovation, leadership, and community spirit.

Further details about the event and nomination process will be shared in the coming months.
