Pride of Place Awards

The IPB Pride of Place awards are held annually with over 100 communities across the island of Ireland shortlisted for their voluntary efforts in making their communities a better place and IPB continues to be the key sponsor of this important community event.

Communities are nominated by their respective local authorities and entered into the competition, with Pride of Place judges visiting every nominated community to adjudicate their projects. The awards have grown to become Ireland’s largest event for recognising community volunteerism.

It is also an important platform in promoting cross-border collaboration by reaching out to communities north and south. Each year the event is run by Cooperation Ireland in partnership with the successful host local authority.
