Michael Whelehan is Director of Claims at IPB Insurance. He is responsible for all elements of the Claims function from its strategic direction to operational delivery incorporating oversight of external service providers and our large in-house team of experienced legal and claims professionals who handle all claim types from motor, accidental damage, personal accident etc. to complex liability claims, in order to deliver an exceptional and unique service to our stakeholders.

Prior to joining IPB in November 2014, Michael was Head of Claims Operations in FBD Insurance. Previous experience includes Head of Operations and COO within the Friends First and IFG Plc financial services groups respectively. Michael is a Business Graduate with a number of subsequent qualifications obtained in Banking, Financial Services, General Insurance, a Certified Insurance Practitioner, Licentiate of the Association of Compliance Officers in Ireland and a Certified Insurance Director
