Joanne is the Head of Actuarial Function (HoAF) at IPB Insurance. Joanne has responsibility for delivering all elements of the Actuarial Function, as set out by the Domestic Actuarial Regime, as well as assisting with capital modelling, assisting with optimisation of the reinsurance programme, and contributing to business planning and strategy development.

Prior to her appointment as HoAF in IPB, she held senior positions in Partner Re and Deloitte and has over 10 years’ experience in the insurance industry. Joanne is a Fellow of the Society of Actuaries in Ireland (FSAI) and holds a Bachelor of Actuarial and Financial Studies (First Class Honors) from University College Dublin (UCD).  She is very involved in the Society of Actuaries in Ireland, currently leading the Non-Life IFRS 17 working group, as well as being a member of the General Insurance committee within the society.
